Help the Girl Scouts and the Sammamish YMCA Togetherhood® project to “Give gLOVEs” in 2018!
The Sammamish Y is excited to partner with Creekside Elementary’s Daisy Scouts (Girl Scouts) Troop 45275 to provide gloves to homeless in the Seattle area through the Union Gospel Mission during these icy and cold winter months.
How can you help, you ask?
Please bring your donations of new and very gently used gloves into the Sammamish Y now through Friday, Jan. 26th. You can also easily donate with the click of a few buttons by visiting the Amazon wishlist they created for the Union Gospel Mission: http://a.co/2eskg56
“As part of earning the Rosie Petal (Make the World a Better Place) our Daisy troop is collecting gloves from now until the end of January. Glove donations will be given to the Seattle Union Gospel Mission search and rescue vans to distribute to the homeless during these cold winter months. Our 1st graders will be dropping off the donations in person to the mission’s Kent facility and getting a tour while they are there,” says Andrea, a troop leader.
This is just one of many projects that the YMCA partners with local organizations on. To find out more about the Y’s Togetherhood® program and to start a community project of your own, click here: http://bit.ly/whatistogetherhood
Thanks in advance for your generous donations and for bringing warm hands to warm hearts in our local community.
